Five Reasons Made Me Migrate From Blogger To WordPress.

Blogger to Wordpress

After running my blog titled LearnOnly Heart on blogger platform for nearly more than 8 years I am now moving to  new web site This new website is titled as Heart And Teeth on WordPress platform.

1. WordPress support multiauthor

WordPress supports multi-author blogging far better than blogger.

This  site will be authored by me and my wife Dr Ramya Bilagi. She is a dentist. Although she is a good writer, she has started blogging recently. We decided to merge our both blogs because it becomes easier to manage and we can create more content together

2.  More facilities on wordpress plat-from

WordPress is a pretty good platform for blogging. It has lot many more facilities compared to blogger platform, so most professional bloggers always suggest WordPress over Blogger platform.

For doctors, I suggest using WordPress, because  its features are customizable for professional showcasing also. One may think of running their clinic and hospital website along with their blog kindly read this article to know more on this issue click here.

3. Choose Self Hosted WordPress

WordPress means self-hosted not from, but from Although it cost little more to start blogging on WordPress platform but it has lot many more facilities. It is great fun to blog on this platform.

4. You won’t lose yours traffic, previous links and subscribers

I am permanently redirecting all my articles from to this This is an easy process, follow Amit Agarwal’s tutorials in this regard. You won’t lose any of previous links and google ranking and feed subscribers.

One more issue I noticed was redirecting while using a mobile device. To solve this kindly Go to template from mobile site use below option

No. Show desktop template on mobile devices.

5. Choosing hosting services

I actually wanted to host on google cloud but I purchased a domain name and hosting  from BigRock, this is because they accept debit card and all other types of payments methods including traditional cheque and DD, but most others ask for a credit card, which I don’t use.  I should inform you, I am not an expert on this issue to suggest where to purchase your domain and hosting.

It is just a few days to tell you my experience with Bigrock it appears good to me right now.

Happy Blogging.
